LONDON (Alliance News) - Laird PLC Thursday said it has appointed Martin Read to be its next Chairman when Nigel Keen retires at its next annual general meeting in May.
Read was chief executive of Logica between 1993 and 2007, and is currently on the board of Lloyds of London as well as being on the UK government's efficiency and reform board.
''Martin is an excellent candidate to succeed me as Chairman of Laird next year. He has a wealth of international experience in a number of sectors, including technology, and will ably oversee the next phase of the Company's development.,' Keen said in a statement.
Laird shares were down 0.1% at 255.90 pence Thursday morning.
