LONDON (Alliance News) - Kromek Group PLC Monday said it has won a contract worth up to USD1.2 million for a 12-month programme with the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, a part of the US Department Of Defense.
Kromek, a radiation detection technologies provider, said the contract will cover the development of an advanced portable detection system for gamma and neutron radiation signatures.
"Kromek is delighted to receive this award from DARPA, which closely follows recent awards from other areas of the US government and is further recognition of the advances Kromek's detector technology platforms are making into growing global markets," said Kromek Chief Executive Arnab Basu.
Kromek shares were quoted at 54.00 pence, up 1.9% early Monday.
