28th Apr 2020 09:25

(Alliance News) - Kore Potash PLC said Tuesday the pre-feasibility study for its Dougou extension at the Sintoukola potash project will be released in May.

The miner owns 97% of the project, located in the Republic of Congo.

Technical studies, design and costing have been delivered to the company for review, Kore Potash said.

Chief Executive Brad Sampson said: "We are excited to be nearing completion of the DX pre-feasibility study. The DX project with its very high grade and shallow potash, and close proximity to the coastline and the major port of Pointe Noire is ideally placed to produce potash a.t low cost for supply into the nearby and growing markets in Africa and South America."

Elsewhere, the miner said its Koutou exploration camp has been shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Kore Potash ended March 31 with USD4.7 million in cash.

Shares in Kore Potash were untraded in London and Johannesburg on Tuesday morning, having last closed at 0.90 pence and ZAR0.20, respectively.
