LONDON (Alliance News) - Koovs PLC on Monday said a growing market for online fashion in India has meant year-on-year sales have more than doubled in the first four months of its financial year.
The Indian online fashion retailer said its gross sales order value from its website rose to around GBP5.4 million from around GBP2.5 million the same period a year earlier. Weekly visits to its website rose to 1.4 million from 600,000 visits a year earlier, on the back of rising brand awareness.
Koovs said its registered users now total 1.3 million and social media registered followers 1.7 million, both of which have more than doubled from a year earlier.
Its product range has risen to 10,100 products from 7,200 products a year earlier, Koovs said.
"The market for online fashion in India is growing rapidly and Koovs continues to outperform market growth. Our investment in brand marketing is delivering excellent results, significantly increasing brand awareness and establishing a strong platform from which to build brand affinity and customer loyalty," said Chief Executive Mary Turner.
Shares in Koovs were up 7.6% at 64.00 pence on Monday morning.
