Kodal Minerals Says Copper And Zinc Mineralisation Shown At Grimeli

21st Aug 2015 06:37

LONDON (Alliance News) - Kodal Minerals PLC on Friday said it has received the results of the drilling programme launched at the Grimeli copper and nickel project in Norway, with high-grade copper and zinc occurrences confirmed at the site.

The company said the best copper grade seen in the drilling was 8.39%, while the best zinc grade was 6.98%.

The results prove the presence of previously-unmined mineralised bodies, Kodal said.

"Overall the drill programme was successful in locating the first new high-grade mineral occurrence, which has been defined over a strike length of 150 metres and remains open down dip and to the west. The drilling was quite challenging due to both the topography and the weather conditions in western Norway over winter," said Luke Bryan, Kodal's chief executive.

Bryan added Grimeli looks a "very interesting early stage exploration project" and said the company is currently assessing approaches it has received in recent months to participate in new exploration projects in Norway.
