LONDON (Alliance News) - Keywords Studios PLC said Monday it expects to report an adjusted pretax profit and revenue "comfortably ahead of consensus market expectations" for 2015.
Keywords provides technical services for the video games industry.
The company adjusts its pretax profit to strip out acquisition and integration costs, share option charges, amortisation of intangibles and foreign currency gains. For 2015, broker FinnCap expects Keywords to report a pretax profit of EUR5.2 million, whilst Numis expects it to report EUR5.5 million, and Edison expects EUR6.0 million.
This compares to a pretax profit of EUR3.4 million that the company reported for 2014.
Keywords said its performance during 2015 was driven by strong organic growth, and complimented by its acquisitions of Reverb, Kite Team, Alchemic Dream and Liquid Development throughout the year.
The company said it has continued to review a "healthy pipeline of acquisition opportunities", and a recent placing to raise GBP10 million has helped position it to complete some of the more advanced opportunities in its pipeline.
"The group continues to deliver a strong performance as it grows market share and wins new clients. 2015 was a year in which the console game production and publishing cycle flourished and, whilst it remains early in the year, 2016 is showing signs of being another good year for the group, with some early business wins and increasing levels of cross selling emerging from our global sales force," said Chief Executive Andrew Day in a statement.
Keywords will announce its 2015 results on April 5.
Shares in Keywords were up 6.6% at 217.50 pence Monday morning.
