Keras Resources Appoints Founder Russell Lamming New Chief Executive

12th Mar 2018 10:50

LONDON (Alliance News) - Keras Resources PLC said Monday it appointed current Non-Executive Director Russell Lamming as its new chief executive officer with immediate effect as former boss Dave Reeves focuses on Calidus Resources Ltd role.

Lamming - a founder of Keras - is a qualified geologist who has served various positions across a number of AIM-listed resources firms including serving as CEO of Chromex Mining PLC until its acquisition by Synergy Africa Ltd.

"Russell, with his experience with AIM quoted companies and successful track record of developing resource companies, is ideally suited to driving Keras forward, unlocking its potential and realising its intrinsic value," Keras Chairman Brian Moritz said.

Keras also made former Executive Director Dave Reeves non-executive. This was in order for Reeves to allow him to "focus on his role" as managing director of Calidus Resources, in which Keras has a substantial shareholding.

"The board would like to thank Dave for his stewardship of the company since listing in 2011," Moritz added, "he guided it through some difficult periods and now with the successful listing of Calidus on the ASX, he can focus on developing the Warrawoona gold project."

Shares in Keras were 1.9% higher at 0.367 pence on Monday.
