Keller Group Wins USD41 Million Contract To Repair Seattle Seawall

13th Feb 2014 10:34

LONDON (Alliance News) - Keller Group PLC said Thursday that it had won a USD41 million contract to repair and replace a large section of the seawall along Seattle's downtown waterfront.

Keller said that the seawall, originally constructed between 1911 and 1936, had deteriorated over time, making it vulnerable to storm and earthquake damage.

Keller will begin a test programme in March, after which it will begin work over three years on the project.

"Increasing our participation in large and complex projects remains one of our key aims and we are delighted to have been selected to work on the Elliott Bay seawall project," said Chief Executive Justin Atkinson in a statement.

Shares in Keller were trading up 0.3% at 1,194.00 pence Thursday morning.
