(Alliance News) - KEFI Minerals PLC said Tuesday it received "encouraging" results from its scout drilling programme in Saudi Arabia.
KEFI said assay results from its first drill hole on its Hawiah exploration licence intercepted 15.8 metres of massive sulphide at 1.2% copper, 0.51% zinc, 0.51 grammes per tonnes of gold and 9.1 gramme per tonne of silver.
Three additional drill holes have also been dug with assay results pending.
"These early encouraging results represent just the start of the planned 2,500 metre scout drilling programme and confirm that the volcanic massive sulphide mineralisation is the source of the previously reported 5.5 kilometres long geophysical anomaly, and that the mineralisation is copper, gold and zinc bearing," KEFI said in a statement.
Shares in KEFI were 2.3% higher at 1.89 pence in London on Tuesday.
