KBC Advanced Technologies Says 2013 Results To Beat Own Hopes

30th Jan 2014 08:10

LONDON (Alliance News) - KBC Advanced Technologies PLC Thursday said its 2013 results are expected to come in slightly above management expectations after it maintained the strong first half performance into the second half of the year.

In a trading update, KBC said it had continued investing in its key growth markets, hiring new staff. That resulted in new contract wins in the Middle East, China, Southeast Asia and former Russian states.

It said 2014 had also got off to a good start.

Additionally, it said it will shortly start looking for a new chief financial officer, after current CFO Caroline Brown decided to leave the company to pursue other business interests. Brown will leave in April after the company puts out its results.

The shares were up 1.7% at 118 pence early Thursday.
