Karelian Withdraws Application In North Finland To Focus On Kuhmo

7th Apr 2015 14:22

LONDON (Alliance News) - Karelian Diamond Resources PLC Tuesday confirmed press speculation that it has withdrawn its application for an exploration claim reservation in the far north of Finland so that it can concentrate on the Kuhmo region in the country.

"The decision is a commercial and technical decision to concentrate diamond exploration efforts on central Finland and in particular in the Kuhmo region where the company has recently discovered

a kimberlite body," said Karelian in a statement.

The company said it did not start exploration in the area in the far north of Finland.

Karelian shares were down 1.5% to 1.28 pence per share on Tuesday afternoon.
