Kainos Chair Lillywhite To Retire In September After Annual Meeting

24th Jul 2019 09:38

(Alliance News) - Software firm Kainos Group PLC said on Wednesday Chair John Lillywhite will retire after the company's annual general meeting in September.

Lillywhite, who will also step down as a director, was appointed chair in 1998 and the company said he was "instrumental in the creation of Kainos in 1986".

He also helped lead the company's initial public offering in 2015, Kainos said.

Chief Executive Brendan Mooney said: "Having worked closely with John over the past 20 years, I have seen first-hand the skills and experience that John has brought to his role as chair, both as a private company and over the last four years as a public company.

"That skill is reflected in the growth of Kainos and the strong performance across the financial and people-based metrics of our business."

The company said it has begun a search to find Lillywhite's replacement. Its annual general meeting will take place on September 26.

Shares in Kainos were up 1% at 578.00 pence each in London on Wednesday.
