(Alliance News) - Retirement income provider Just Group PLC on Wednesday said has appointed BMS Group Chair John Hastings-Bass as its own new chair.
Shares in Just Group were up 2.9% at 51.95 pence in London in morning trading.
Surrey-headquartered Just said Hastings-Bass will join as non-executive chair effective Thursday this week, and his appointment is already approved by the Prudential Regulation Authority.
Chris Gibson-Smith will depart the company effective from close of business Thursday after publication of the company's interim financial results. His retirement was announced in March and was set to take place as soon as a successor was found.
Currently chair of private equity backed global insurance broking firm BMS, Hastings-Bass's previous roles included chair of former London listing Novae Group until 2017, when Novae was sold to Axis Capital.
