Just Eat Chair To Depart Just Eat Takeaway.com Amid Simplification

1st May 2020 11:45

(Alliance News) - Just Eat Takeaway.com NV on Friday announced the simplification of its board and departure of former Just Eat plc chair Mike Evans.

Just Eat PLC and Takeaway.com NV merged in April to form Just Eat Takeaway.com, Takeaway.com having won a bidding war for Just Eat in January, beating off Johannesburg- and Amsterdam-listed media and internet investor Prosus NV.

Originally, it had been planned that Evans would join Just Eat Takeaway as supervisory chair. However, Evans has decided not to stand for election to the supervisory board and to depart from his current role as Just Eat Ltd chair.

Other board changes include the departure of all non-executive members, including non-executive director Roisin Donnelly. This follows the resignations of Alistair Cox, Diego Oliva, Frederic Coorevits and Helen Weir in March.

Gwyn Burr and Jambu Palanappian will remain in their roles as supervisory board members, while Adriaan Nuhn will continue to chair the supervisory board.

Shares in Just Eat Takeaway were down 3.4% at 7,810.00 pence in London on Friday.
