(Alliance News) -Just Eat PLC, an online marketplace for takeaway food delivery, on Monday said it has appointed former UberEats executive Jambu Palaniappan to the board as non-executive director with immediate effect.
Palaniappan is Executive-in-Residence at Atomico, an international technology investment firm, and was previously Head of UberEats for Europe, Middle East & Africa, leading the business from its creation to scale in more than 70 cities across the region.
"I am delighted to announce Jambu's appointment to the board of Just Eat as Non-Executive Director. He brings significant expertise in the online food delivery industry, both in terms of technology and customer service, while his experience in market expansion ensures he will add considerable value to our Board," Just Eat Chair Mike Evans said.
Uber Eats is a US based online food ordering and delivery platform owned by ride-hailing app company Uber Technologies Inc.
Shares in Just Eat were trading 0.6% lower at 625.00 pence each on Monday morning.
