Juridica To Stop Making New Investments, Return Funds To Shareholders

18th Nov 2015 08:08

LONDON (Alliance News) - Juridica Investments Ltd on Wednesday said it will stop making new investments and return funds to shareholders and that it will be reviewing its cost and fee structures.

Juridica said the return of capital will not require it to dispose of assets in its portfolio ahead of their reasonably-priced maturity, nor will it result in the company being liquidated.

On Monday, the company, which provides strategic capital for corporate legal claims, said it would make a loss from a recently completed legal case. The company said it would get a GBP2.0 million return from the case, compared to an original investment of GBP3.5 million and a valuation of GBP9.4 million put on the case at the end of June.

Juridica shares were up 8.3% to 55.25 pence on Wednesday morning, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
