(Alliance News) - Jupiter US Smaller Cos PLC said Tuesday it acknowledges the "significant number of votes" against the re-election of Chair Gordon Grender.
The company said that during the annual general meeting held on Tuesday, 40% of the shareholders voted against resolution 3, in respect to the re-election of the chair.
Jupiter US Smaller said it will make a comment on the vote and its future board composition in "due course".
Jupiter US said all ordinary and special resolutions put to shareholders were passed.
Back in October, Jupiter US Smaller said its net assets fell year-on-year but performed well relative to its benchmark despite a difficult market.
In its annual results, the trust said it was aware of recent corporate governance changes that meant directors who had served more than nine years would no longer be independent. Jupiter US Smaller, at the time, noted it would "keep these developments under review".
Jupiter US shares closed 2.3% higher in London at 1,130.00 pence each on Tuesday.
