LONDON (Alliance News) - Jupiter Fund Management PLC Tuesday said it has appointed Senior Independent Non-Executive Director Liz Airey as its new chairman after Jamie Dundas decided to step down due to ill health.
In a statement, the FTSE 250 fund manager said Airey began as chairman from Monday. Airey will also chair the company's nomination committee.
Lorraine Trainer has been appointed as senior independent director and Jonathon Bond has been appointed to the nomination committee, Jupiter said.
The fund manager will also be starting a search for a new non-executive director to chair the board's audit committee, as the role is currently held by Liz Airey.
"On behalf of the company and its shareholders I would like to thank Jamie for his exceptional leadership of the company since he was appointed chairman in 2008. Jamie has provided an invaluable combination of extensive experience, personal wisdom and strong leadership. He played a key role in leading Jupiter through its initial public offering and its subsequent success as a listed company. Our thoughts are with Jamie at this time, and we hope he continues to make good progress in his recovery," Airey said in a statement.
Jupiter shares were down 0.1% at 374.53 pence early Tuesday.
