LONDON (Alliance News) - Judges Scientific PLC increased its interim dividend to 6.6p from 5p as it saw increases in revenue and pretax profit.
For the half year ended June 30 the company posted revenues of GBP15.3 million, up from GBP13.5 million in the previous year. It had a pretax profit of GBP777,000, up from GBP321,000. The company said that all regions had shown growth with the exception of the U.S and Canada. Revenues were boosted by the integration of results from subsidiaries Global Digital Systems and KE Developments.
No revenues from its recent acquisition, Scientifica, had effected results as it was purchased in June, said the company. Order intake saw modest growth, the company said. Trading at the beginning of the second half of the year had been in line with its budgets, it said, and order inflow was recovering from levels seen in the second quarter but remained subdued.
"Our Group continues to display encouraging resilience against the backdrop of a generally challenging environment," said Chairman, Alex Hambro, in a statement.
Shares in Judges Scientific were trading up 3.00 pence at 1,797.00 pence Thursday afternoon.
