LONDON (Alliance News) - Jubilee Platinum PLC on Thursday said its chrome plant feed rate capacity at its Jubilee Tailings Treatment Co subsidiary is tracking ahead of design capacity.
Jubilee said sustainable chrome plant feed rate capacity has hit 65 tonnes per hour at its chrome recovery plant, part of the tailings projects on the Dilokong chrome mine in South Africa.
This is ahead of the 50 tonnes per hour design capacity of the project.
Jubilee said short-term feed rate trials linking to the continued production ramp-up demonstrate an ability to maintain a chromite production rate of double the design capacity, the company said.
The project is targeting 6,000 tonnes of chromite production for May, to rise to 8,000 tonnes in June.
Jubilee shares were up 6.7% to 2.96 pence.
