JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust Outperforms Benchmark In Quarter

LONDON (Alliance News) - JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust PLC Monday said it outperformed its benchmark, the FTSE 250 Ex Investment Trust TR GBP, in the three months ended March 31, delivering an absolute return despite a weaker performance in March.

Between March 31 and May 9, net asset value per share decreased to 861.0 pence from 900.6 pence. Total assets fell to GBP241.6 million from GBP251.1 million. The share price fell to 789.0 pence from 818.0 pence. The discount the shares trade at in relation to NAV narrowed to 8.4% from 9.2%.

The company specialises in investment in FTSE 250 companies, using long- and short-term borrowings to increase returns to shareholders.

JPMorgan Mid Cap Investment Trust shares were Monday quoted at 738.08 pence, down 0.9%.
