JP Jenkins-15 index slips 0.2% in January after strong rise in 2025

4th Feb 2026 11:55

(Alliance News) - The JP Jenkins-15, an index of the largest companies listed on the UK share dealing platform, fell back slightly at the start of 2026, having gained more than 20% in all of 2025.

The index declined by 0.2% to 1,207.4 points at the end of January from 1,209.1 at the beginning. It remains up from its baseline of 1,000 points at the start of 2025.

London-based JP Jenkins provides a matched bargain platform for unlisted companies.

The index is market capitalisation weighted, and the next quarterly re-weighting of the index will be in April. This ensures that the inclusion of new companies with larger market capitalisations in the index doesn't skew its calculation.
