LONDON (Alliance News) - Journey Group PLC Wednesday said Air Fayre CA Inc, part of its US division, has won a contract to provide catering services to JetBlue Airways Corp.
The in-flight caterers said Air Fayre will provide fresh food on board for JetBlue's predominately transcontinental flights out of Los Angeles International Airport.
This is an average of nine flights per day during low season and up to 15 flights per day in high season, Journey Group said.
Air Fayre also will design JetBlue's menu for special meals, such as gluten free and vegan, across all of the airline's US operations.
Air Fayre's new offering, which will start in May, will be serviced from its existing Los Angeles facility, where it also provides in-flight beverage and snack services for JetBlue's flights out of Long Beach International Airport.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The stock was trading at 136.75 pence Wednesday morning, up 4.25 pence or 3.2%.
