Journey Group Says Trading In Line As United Airlines Pact Extended

22nd Dec 2015 09:18

LONDON (Alliance News) - Journey Group PLC on Tuesday said Air Fayre CA Inc, its US arm, has extended its contract with United Airlines Inc out of Los Angeles International Airport, and guided that trading for 2015 will be in line with expectation.

Air Fayre established the relationship with United in 2008, with a seven-year contract to serve United's entire international and domestic in-flight catering needs at the airport.

The contract extension is for a further three years commencing January 1.

"We are pleased to continue our long standing relationship with United and deliver a quality service to one of the leading airlines in the world. This extension is testament to the hard work of the Air Fayre team," Executive Chairman Stephen Yapp said.

"The board expects trading for the current year to be in line with expectations, and this contract extension, together with the recently launched contract with FedEx out of Memphis, gives us further confidence in delivering against our expectations for 2016," Yapp added.

Shares in Journey were up 3.1% at 173.79 pence on Tuesday morning.
