Johnson Service Makes Egan Chief Operating Officer Ahead Of Elevation

29th Mar 2018 11:41

LONDON (Alliance News) - Johnson Service Group PLC said Thursday Peter Egan will become chief operating officer at the start of April ahead of him assuming the role of chief executive.

In December, Johnson said Egan - previously managing director at subsidiary Apparelmaster - woudl assume the COO post prior to taking on the CEO role from current incumbent Chris Sander.

Sander will remain with Johnson until the end of 2018 to "ensure a smooth and effective handover to Peter Egan."

Gerry Moore will take Egan's former role as Apparelmaster MD.

"We are pleased to have recruited someone of Gerry's calibre to lead our Apparelmaster workwear business", Sander said. "Gerry has a proven commercial track record, is very customer focused and has excellent people skills."

"We have the strength and depth across our management and operational teams to support our business during its next chapter of growth," Sander added.

Shares in Johnson were 1.0% higher at 139.40 pence on Thursday.
