Johnson Service Full Year Trading In Line; Leeds Facility Progresses

8th May 2019 09:32

LONDON (Alliance News) - The chair of Johnson Service Group PLC said Wednesday the textile services firm expects full-year results in line with expectations amid continued growth.

Speaking at the annual general meeting of the firm, Chair Bill Shannon confirmed that "following a year of continued growth" the two main divisions of the company had "continued to meet management forecasts".

"Accordingly, we expect the full-year results to be in line with current market expectations," Shannon added.

Back in early March, Johnson reported 2018 pretax profit widened 6.1% to GBP33.1 million in 2018 on the year prior after revenue rose 10% to GBP321.1 million.

Johnson is divided into two main units: Workwear and Hotel, Restaurants & Catering.

"The development of the new Leeds high-volume linen facility, which will deliver considerable logistical benefits and increased capacity for our business in Northern England, is proceeding to plan and remains on course for coming on stream in the spring of 2020", Shannon added.

Shares in Johnson were untraded, last closing at 149.00 pence on Wednesday.
