Johnson Service Buys Zip Textiles In GBP15 Million Deal

1st Feb 2016 07:54

LONDON (Alliance News) - Textile services company Johnson Service Group PLC on Monday said it has struck a GBP15.0 million cash deal to acquire Zip Textiles (Services) Ltd.

Zip serves the hotel and leisure sectors from its plant in Birmingham and will boost Johnson's existing Bourne business, increasing its geographical presence and giving it additional production capacity in the central England region.

"Zip is an extremely well invested business that offers good synergies with Bourne, geographical reach and scope to increase processing capacity significantly," said Chris Sander, Johnson Service's chief executive.

"Having expanded our hotel and restaurant divisions through the acquisitions of Ashbon and London Linen, the addition of Zip to the JSG family marks the latest milestone in our growth strategy," he added.
