LONDON (Alliance News) - John Wood Group PLC said Wednesday it has won a USD1 million contract with Origin Energy for design engineering for the onshore pipelines related to Origin's Halladale, Black Watch & Speculant natural gas project in Australia.
Under the contract the company will design onshore raw gas and Mono-Ethylene Glycol pipelines from the well pad to the gas plant. Construction of the pipelines is expected to begin in the third and fourth quarter of 2015.
"We are pleased to provide our onshore pipeline design expertise for this important energy project for the State of Victoria. The contract for HBWS builds on our strong relationship with Origin Energy in the region, and nationally, where we continue to provide engineering services in support of both existing assets and new projects," said Chief Executive Officer Bob MacDonald in a statement.
Shares in John Wood Group are trading down 0.8% at 639.50 pence late Wednesday.
