LONDON (Alliance News) - FTSE 250-listed oil services company John Wood Group PLC on Wednesday said its Wood Group Kenny subsidiary has won a contract to provide technical advisory services on carbon capture and storage policies to the UK's Department of Energy and Climate Change under a framework agreement.
The four-year deal will see Wood Group Kenny advise the department on carbon capture and storage policies and provide advice on developments in the sector.
No financial details of the deal were disclosed.
"This contract award demonstrates how we apply our extensive engineering expertise to diverse markets. Utilising our knowledge in CO2 and CCS projects, we are positioned at the forefront of this sector and look forward to supporting DECC in this field," said Wood Group Kenny Chief Executive Bob MacDonald.
John Wood Group shares were up 0.4% to 731.00 pence on Wednesday.
