John Wood Group Wins Multi-Year Contract From ConocoPhillips

8th Dec 2015 07:08

LONDON (Alliance News) - John Wood Group PLC Tuesday said it has won a new contract with oil and gas major ConocoPhillips in Australia.

The "multi-year" contract will see Wood Group PSN provide brownfield engineering services to the Bayu-Undan field located south west of Timor-Leste and the Darwin liquefied natural gas plant at Wickham Point in Darwin, Australia, the FTSE 250-listed oil services company said.

The contract also covers associated floating, storage and offloading facilities and subsea pipelines, which will be delivered by Wood Group Kenny.

"This win is a privileged addition to our existing brownfield modifications capabilities, particularly across our growing LNG activities in Australia and Asia Pacific. To deliver this contract, we are delighted to be able to harness the collaborative expertise of Wood Group PSN in brownfield services and Wood Group Kenny in subsea engineering," said Andrew Stewart, managing director of PSN Australia and Asia Pacific.

Wood Group PSN offers engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), decommissioning and pre-operation work to the energy industry whilst the Kenny division is the company's design, project management and operational support services unit.
