John Wood Group Venture Gets Big Contract In Trinidad And Tobago

26th Mar 2014 09:35

LONDON (Alliance News) - John Wood Group PLC Wednesday said its joint venture Neal & Massy Wood Group has been awarded a master services agreement to deliver construction services to the Atlantic LNG Company of Trinidad and Tobago.

The major engineering company said the joint venture between the energy division of Neal & Massy Holdings Limited and Wood Group PSN would be responsible for project construction activities for Atlantic's four-train liquefaction facility in Point Fortin on the southwest coast of Trinidad.

Wood Group added that Atlantic is the largest liquefied natural gas producer in the Western Hemisphere, and said the deal is a multi-million dollar contract over two years.

Wood Group has started the year off well, with strong 2013 financial figures reported in February along with a five-year extension of its current contract with Talisman Sinopec Energy UK, valued at USD500 million, for engineering and modification services over Talisman's 11 offshore UK assets in the North Sea and onshore at the Flotta oil terminal on Orkney.

Wood Group shares were up 1.7% to 770.00 pence in early trading Wednesday.
