LONDON (Alliance News) - Wood Group (John) PLC Tuesday said it has been awarded a multi million dollar, five year turbine maintenance contract in the UK North Sea.
The energy services company said its turbo machinery operations were awarded the contract from Talisman Sinopec Energy UK to provide turbine maintenance support services for 22 Siemens Ruston gas turbines operating on installations in the North Sea.
The company said the deal, which is effective from November, means that Wood Group will provide a comprehensive scope of work, including contract management services, preventive maintenance scheduling and execution, 24/7 technical support, unplanned breakdown support, and engine supply and overhaul services.
Wood Group said the deal with talisman follows a 10 year turbine fleet maintenance contract between the two organisations which concludes in 2013.
The company would not comment on the price of the contract.
Wood Group shares were down 0.8% to 805.00 pence Tuesday.
