John Menzies Trading In Line As Chief Executive Stafford Resigns

13th Jan 2016 08:41

LONDON (Alliance News) - Support services provider John Menzies PLC on Wednesday said it is confident it will meet its expectations for the year to the end of December as trading remained in line with its forecasts in the final months of 2015.

The group also said Chief Executive Jeremy Stafford has resigned for personal reasons. It declined to say whether it has started a search for a replacement, but announced two divisional management changes.

Forsyth Black, the former managing director of its distribution business, will become the managing director of its aviation division, with distribution operations director Mark Cassie to replace him at the helm of the distribution arm.

John Menzies said trading has remained in line with its expectations and said its aviation unit has concluded its contract negotiations with a major customer at Gatwick Airport in a satisfactory way.

Shares in John Menzies were up 0.6% to 390.00 pence.
