(Alliance News) - John Menzies PLC on Wednesday announced a three-year contract win between its subsidiary Menzies Aviation and Grupo Aeromexico, Mexico's largest international airline.
The subsidiary of the Edinburgh-based aviation services provider will deliver a "full suite" of ground services to the airline for an expected 23,000 flights per annum.
These services will include passenger, ramp and cleaning operations and will be carried out at 15 airports across the country.
John Menzies says that with the contract, Menzies will become the largest provider of aviation services to Aeromexico in the region.
"This is an exciting opportunity for Menzies that significantly increases our operations in Mexico and is testament to our trusted reputation and high standards of service. We look forward to working closely and to develop our relationship with Aeromexico to deliver our world-class ground handling services across an extensive network of airports," Chief Executive Philipp Joeinig.
Menzies did not give the value of the contract.
Shares were up 2.9% and 307.01 pence on Monday afternoon in London.
