LONDON (Alliance News) - Furniture retailer John Lewis of Hungerford PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Kenneth McNaught as non-executive chairman.
McNaught has a background in management consultancy, change management and business strategy, the firm said, advising blue-chip engineering and support services companies.
He will replace founder John Lewis who had taken the role on an interim basis for the past four months. Lewis remains a non-executive director.
"We are delighted that Kenneth has agreed to lead the board and welcome him to the team. He brings experience and passion for developing high performing teams, organisational values and sound business practices with the drive and ambition to develop the next phase of strategic goals for the business," Lewis said in a statement.
Shares in John Lewis of Hungerford were untraded on Thursday, last quoted at 1.00 pence.
