JKX Oil & Gas Says Date Set For USD3 Million Poltava Petroleum Hearing

LONDON (Alliance News) - JKX Oil & Gas PLC on Tuesday said a hearing has been set in relation to one of its 2015 Poltava Petroleum Co rental fee claims.

The claim relates to additional tax liability and penalties of approximately USD2.6 million. In total there are eight rental fee claims relating to JKX's Poltava Petroleum subsidiary, which is seeking relief from the Ukrainian government's 2014 tax rise, as well as business damages.

The hearing has been scheduled for October 16, and will follow an additional USD300,000 claim hearing on Wednesday. In total, all eight claims have a value of USD20.6 million.

Shares in JKX were down 2.0% at 37.75 pence on Tuesday.
