JD Wetherspoon Lays Out Non-Executive Succession Plans

21st Oct 2019 17:34

(Alliance News) - JD Wetherspoon on Monday said it is planning some board hires after discussing succession plans for its non-executive directors with more than nine years' service with a number of shareholders.

The pub operator said it intends to appoint a non-executive director "in due course" to replace Elizabeth McMeikan who resigned on earlier in October. A further announcement will be made regarding the appointment of a senior independent director.

In addition, the firm will look to hire non-executive directors to replace Debra van Gene, who will stand down at the annual general meeting in November 2021, and Richard Beckett, who will stand down at the AGM in 2022.
