(Alliance News) - Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd on Monday said James Sassoon will retire from the company effective from April 9.
The Asia-focused investment company said Sassoon will step down from the boards of holding company Jardine Matheson, pan-Asian grocer Dairy Farm International Holdings Ltd, property developer Hongkong Land Holdings Ltd, and hotelier Mandarin Oriental International Ltd in order to "pursue his family and other interests".
Sassoon joined Jardines as an executive director in January 2013.
"We are grateful to James Sassoon for the strong support and commitment he has provided throughout his time with the group. We wish him all the best and the group looks forward to continuing our friendship with him going forward," said Executive Chair & Managing Director Ben Keswick.
Jardine Matheson shares were untraded on Monday morning in London, last quoted at USD62.50 each.
