TOKYO (Alliance News) - Consumer prices in Japan were up 0.7% on year in June, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said on Friday.
That was unchanged from the May reading, although it was shy of expectations for 0.8%.
Core CPI, which excludes food prices, was up an annual 0.8% - in line with expectations and up from 0.7% in the previous month.
Both overall and core CPI were up 0.1% on month.
