Jangada Work Programme Aims To Progress Pedra Branca Feasibility Study

14th Jan 2019 12:13

LONDON (Alliance News) - Jangada Mines PLC on Monday said its first-quarter work programme is focused on progressing the bankable feasibility study of the Pedra Branca platinum group metals and nickel project in Brazil.

In the first quarter of 2019, Jangada's work programme will be focused on progressing its bankable feasibility study, and it expects to complete the verification stage for all of the study's aspects in the first quarter of 2019.

These verifications are expected to prove the economic and technical viability of the project, with results likely to published early in the second quarter of the year. The mine design process will then be finalised in the second quarter, it said.

Jangada Mines also said it has begun further exploration at its high-grade vanadium deposit in Pedra Branca. It plans to begin drilling at the deposit this week, and to conclude at the end of January.

"Looking ahead to 2019, our first strategic objective is the delivery of a combined [bankable feasibility study] for the [platinum group metals] and nickel assets which should further confirm its technical and economic viability," said Jangada Chair Brian McMaster.

Shares in Jangada were down 0.9% at 1.76 pence on Monday.
