LONDON (Alliance News) - Jangada Mines PLC said Monday it received environmental licence approval for the Pedra Branca Project in Brazil by the Ceara State Environmental Department.
The environmental approval is the final requirement before the company can apply for a trial mining licence, which it intends to file in the fourth quarter of 2018.
Chairman Brian McMaster said: "Obtaining environmental approval is a critical step in the ongoing development process at the Pedra Branca project."
"With the environmental licence in place we are now equipped to make an application for a trial mining permit," he added.
Jangada shares were trading up 0.5% at 2.89 pence each.
