(Alliance News) - James Cropper PLC announced on Tuesday that it will deliver a new solution to reduce the overall cost of hydrogen.
The Cumbria, England-based advanced materials, paper and packaging group announced its entry into a strategic collaboration with Zug, Switzerland-based industrial technology company Hoerbiger.
James Cropper said the collaboration will deliver Ready2Stack, a fully integrated bipolar plate solution for proton exchange membrane electrolysers used in the production of hydrogen.
Ready2Stack, James Cropper said, aims to make green hydrogen more accessible and commercially viable by delivering reduced production downtime and enhance long-term reliability.
James Cropper's Chief Executive Officer David Stirling said: "Ready2Stack could be pivotal in the race to net zero, addressing key challenges in the hydrogen industry and the broader energy transition.
"By combining advanced metallurgy, electrochemistry, and precision engineering, we are driving efficiency, reducing costs, and enabling the rapid scaling of PEM electrolyser production accelerating the shift to a cleaner, more sustainable energy landscape."
James Cropper shares closed 8.8% higher at 155.00 pence in London on Tuesday.
