ITM Power's Plant In Frankfurt Completes Testing, Granted Permit To Operate

21st Feb 2014 10:13

LONDON (Alliance News) - ITM Power PLC Friday said that the plant supplied to the Thuga Group in Frankfurt has now completed its formal acceptance testing and has been granted the permit to operate.

The energy storage and clean fuel company said the plant's integrated electrolyser system achieved European Conformity during the tests.

The company announced in September 2013 that its Power-to-Gas plant had been delivered to the site in Frankfurt am Main and announced in December that the unit had been successfully integrated with the gas mixing equipment. It said that for the first time in Germany, and ahead of schedule, hydrogen had been injected into the German gas distribution grid.

"ITM Power is delighted to have collaborated so effectively with the project partners and to have achieved all the important project milestones within and often ahead of time," Managing Director Phil Doran said in a statement. "We are looking forward to developing further our productive partnerships in Germany."

ITM Power shares were up 3.8% to 31.00 pence Friday.
