LONDON (Alliance News) - ITM Power PLC Wednesday said it has received its first order to provide equipment for an electrolyser plant from a UK Government agency.
The energy storage and clean fuel company said it had won the contract in a competitive tender and will provide its HPac platform for the plant.
It now has GBP4.2 million of equipment being manufactured, funded by commercial sales and grant funded collaborative projects.
"We are delighted to be chosen as the supplier of this plant which will constitute an important reference site for the UK government and other potential customers," ITM Power Chief Executive Graham Cooley said in a statement.
"The order is also another endorsement for ITM Power's technology and ability to deliver products to a competitive budget and challenging time-scale," he added.
ITM Power shares were up 10.3% at 48 pence early Wednesday, one of the biggest gains on AIM.
