LONDON (Alliance News) - ITM Power PLC Thursday said it has won a GBP1.8 million deal to supply an integrated hydrogen system for use at the European Maritime Energy Centre tidal test site in Scotland.
The main component of the deal is a 0.5 megwatt polymer electrolyte membrane electrolyser. ITM will also provide maintenance services under the deal.
"ITM Power's PEM Electrolysers are perfect for island deployment given the logistics of power distribution and fuel supply and this application by EMEC is a fantastic example as to how the rapid response functionality of ITM's systems offer freedom from the grid constraints of distributed and remote renewable energy," said Chief Executive Graham Cooley.
ITM shares were up 0.6% to 34.343 pence on Thursday.
