ITM Power Launches First Public Hydrogen Refuelling Station

17th Sep 2015 06:57

LONDON (Alliance News) - Energy storage and clean fuel company ITM Power PLC on Thursday said it has launched its first public access hydrogen refuelling station in South Yorkshire.

The company said the station has been launched at the Advanced Manufacturing Park and was funded by InnovateUK, the UK public body which provides funding for innovative projects.

The launch has been supported by car manufacturers Hyundai, Toyota and Honda, who will all be displaying their fuel cell electric vehicles at the launch.

"We are extremely pleased to be launching the first of the company's hydrogen refuelling stations today, at this very accessible location off the M1 in South Yorkshire, and to provide clean fuel for the fuel cell electric vehicles that are now available from the auto manufacturers," said Graham Cooley, ITM's chief executive.
