LONDON (Alliance News) - ITM Power PLC Monday said it has inked its first fuel contract with Japan's Toyota Motor Co covering green hydrogen fuel from three London refuelling stations.
Additionally, the company said it has officially received the first Toyota Mirai fuel cell electric vehicle that has been delivered in the UK. Toyota has confirmed the UK as a choice for an early entry market for the fuel cell electric vehicles.
ITM said the price of hydrogen to all of its customers from its public refuelling stations will be GBP10 per kilogram; Toyota will be a direct customer for the fuel, as all of its Toyota Mirai vehicles will be offered with free fuel for the first three years.
Shares in ITM were up 2.7% at 28.50 pence Monday afternoon.
