LONDON (Alliance News) - Energy storage and clean fuel company ITM Power PLC on Tuesday said it has secured full planning permission for a hydrogen refuelling station in Rainham in east London.
Havering Borough Council has approved the plans to build the station at The Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence at Rainham.
The station is due to be opened to the public in spring 2016, ITM said.
"ITM Power is pleased to announce the decision by Havering Borough Council to grant planning permission for a hydrogen refuelling station at CEME. This is a key step in rolling out refuelling infrastructure in East London," said Graham Cooley, ITM's chief executive.
Shares in ITM were down 2.8% to 25.75 pence on Tuesday.
