LONDON (Alliance News) - ITM Power PLC said Wednesday that a consortium which it leads has been awarded GBP1.4 million in co-funding to build a system to produce renewable fertiliser from the UK government's Technology Strategy Board.
The project is part of the Technology Strategy Board's Agri-Tech programme and will initially be trialled at a UK farm owned by supermarket operator Waitrose Ltd.
ITM Power will receive GBP600,000 of the funding from the project. It did not name the other members of the consortium.
Shares in ITM Power were trading up 1.1% at 33.88 pence Wednesday morning.
