ITM Power Chair Roger Putnam Retires; Non-Exec Roger Bone Replaces

31st Oct 2019 14:50

(Alliance News) - ITM Power PLC said Thursday Chair Roger Putnam is retiring from the energy storage and clean fuel firm with immediate effect.

Putnam will stand down at the end of the annual general meeting for the AIM-listed firm on Thursday. He will be replaced as chair by Non-Executive Director Roger Bone, who has been on the board since 2014.

"On behalf of the board I would like to thank Roger Putnam for all that he has done for the company over the years and for his highly valued leadership of the company during his tenure as chair," Bone said.

"I am delighted to be appointed as the new chair at this exciting time for the company," Bone added. "We look forward to welcoming a representative of Linde onto the board in the near future and also intend to appoint an additional independent non-executive director in due course."

In early October, industrial gas company Linde PLC acquired a 20% stake in ITM for GBP38.0 million. Alongside this, Linde and ITM entered into a joint venture to deliver green hydrogen to large-scale industrial projects.

Shares in Sheffield-based ITM were 3.0% lower at 59.20 pence in London on Thursday.
